Meditation Groups

Meditation is a practice that involves focusing the mind to achieve a state of calm and clarity. When we explore the meaning of meditation, we understand it as a method to cultivate mindfulness and awareness.

Kirtan"Kirtan helps the mind become quiet, and when the mind quiets, we can begin to perceive the mystical things, the sacred experiences,  that are around us always. In the silence between the songs, when the song stops, you can feel something. And that something is you. There is no greater experience than the experience of one's Self. And that vibration is always within you, that vibration is you. That's the beauty of any chant experience-with little or no effort we can experience and enjoy the vibrations of peace, energy, healing and inspiration that are always within us."  Kamini Natarajan

Michelle came to sound healing with crystal alchemy singing bowls in 2021. Her first experience with vibrational medicine had been in the 90’s, when she discovered the power of mantra chanting. Prior to that, her conscious awareness journey began when she was seventeen years old, when her father’s diagnosis of schizophrenia led her on a quest to find an answer to the question, “Why did this happen to him, and could there possibly be a cure to this “incurable” disease?” She dove into yoga, journal writing, and meditation practice. When faced with chronic back pain and ear infections in her 30’s, she became aware of the self healing capacity of the body, and the power of thoughts. In 2020, after the suicide death of her father, Michelle found herself at a low point, feeling intense grief and recognizing how out of alignment she was with her true self.

Desiring a return to some peace Michelle was shown many guides, including Professor Jeralyn Glass, a leader in the field of sound healing using crystal alchemy singing bowls. The pure heavenly sounds of the bowls were the balsam for her grief, and the catalyst for renewing feelings of hope, optimism, and joy. She quickly knew she wanted to learn how to play them, and to share their healing frequencies with others.

What to Know Before Attending a Sound Bath~

Through the two main principles of sound healing, RESONANCE and ENTRAINMENT, our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies can be brought back into a state of health. Basically, the stronger frequencies of the singing bowls wrap around pockets of dissonance (gunk) in our systems, and help bring them back into synchrony and harmony.

  • Be open and curious. It is an experience that can touch you on a deep level, as well as on a more subtle level. Just like reiki, or other forms of energy work, there will be times when you will have a recognizable shift, and times where you may think you feel nothing. However on a subconscious level, there’s much movement occurring.
  • Come with a prayer or intention for your healing journey. It is remarkable to me how much more potent the results of a sound bath are when our positive intentions are added to the frequencies.
  • Please bring your own mat, blanket, pillow, eye pillow, (whatever items to help you build a cozy nest on the floor.) Chairs are available. Bring a water bottle as well.
  • For the optimal relaxation setting, please keep your pets at home.
  • Turn off your phones before entering. Even better~leave them at home or in your car.
