What Is Unity?
Unity is positive, practical, progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of the Universal Christ and the power of prayer and co-creation. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions, and respects each individual’s right to choose their spiritual path to the Divine.
We seek to celebrate that Divine Presence which unites all of us and our world. Our mantra is “Unity of Port Townsend is an Authentic Transformative Spiritual Community.”
Authentic . . . a place where all can honestly share their soul journey & talents.
Transformative . . . a place where each can grow consciously & gracefully at depth.
Spiritual . . . a place where the many miraculous expressions of Spirit are welcomed.
Community . . . An inclusive place where all of life is shared with caring, kindred spirits.
Through this, “Centered in Godde, we co-create a world that works for all.”
These are Unity Five Principles of Faith
1. There is one Presence and one Power . . . God ~ by whatever name one chooses to call that Divine Spark from which we all emanate and to which we all return.
2. The Presence of God indwells all things . . . we call it the Christ Within, but we honor that Presence in all beings regardless of their spiritual path.
3. The Creative Power of Thought is our Divine Inheritance . . . through this we co-create our lives and our world ~ we seek to do it consciously and gracefully.
4. The Power of Prayer heals, uplifts, and transforms us . . . the Kingdom of Heaven on earth is made manifest on earth in us, through us and as us.
5. We are here to Be the Light for ourselves, others, and our world . . .we are eternal spiritual beings having an earthly experience for a divine reason.
Our VISION is that Unity of Port Townsend is an Authentic Transformative Spiritual Community. Our MISSION is to promote spiritual awareness & conscious living through inspirational services, music & programs that honor the Divine Presence within. Our CORE VALUES are that we lovingly welcome people of all spiritual paths & diverse lifestyles, we constantly seek to innovate to provide new, positive & exciting experiences, and we operate within a culture of appreciation, growth & accountability.
