Wednesday Chants and Prayers
CORONA PANDEMIC UPDATE FROM REV. PAM
There has been some confusion recently regarding the re-opening of places of worship. This statement represents Rev. Pam’s prayerful and thoughtful consideration about re-opening of Unity for in-house services and activities.
First of all, we definitely and without hesitation agree that the divine presence expressed in all spiritual traditions are essential services. This presence of faithful support and prayerful unfoldings are essential parts of our lives.
However, we have clearly learned over the past few months that this need not be in person only. We have remained connected, deepened our prayer life and expanded our congregation while doing Live Streaming Services & Zoom events.
I find myself inspired by Jesus’ words in the Gospel of John where he says “The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship Godde in spirit and truth, for Godde seeks such as these to so worship. Godde is spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and truth.”
We at Unity will continue to worship in spirit by virtual means until the CDC, Washington state and Jefferson county officially allow us to safely enter Phase 4. At that point, we’ll consciously and carefully plan our re-opening. Today, we celebrate entering Phase 2. We’ll take it all step-by-step and side-by-side.
Please know this is done from love and not fear. It is done with grace rather than expediency. It is an expression of deepening faith as we realize how we truly are connected in spirit and how we can truly pray without ceasing always. We will follow the greatest commandment to love and to care for one another.
Watch our website www.unitypt.org for regular updates about our events.
With much love and many blessings, Rev. Pam
Unity will continue to be closed for classes and services. The office will be open for staff only. This is in alignment with the latest recommendations that small groups not gather unless they can maintain 6 feet of space between individuals. Also, high risk populations are urged to be more cautious and not meet in groups.
Unity is not completely shut down. We will answer phone calls and emails so please contact us that way.

Unity is for people who consider themselves spiritual but not religious.
Unity is an open-minded, accepting spiritual community that honors all paths to God and helps people to both discover and live their spiritual potential and purpose.
Rev. Pam is taking a much overdue sabbatical from July 1 through August 14. We’ll continue doing on-line events during this time. Upon her return, we’ll start plans for regathering when we reach Phase 4.
While she’s gone, Sunday messages will be covered by Rev. Simon in July and then David Goldsmith on August 2 and Robert Ferrell on August 9. Rev. Simon is back in place as our Music Minister and Crowd Cast Wizard for Sunday services. Please support them all with your presence!
The Wednesday High Noon Prayers will be facilitated by David Goldsmith and the Unity High Watch Prayer Chaplains. The Wisdom Jesus class will take a break and return on Thursday, August 20th with a discussion of the paths that brought us to Unity and to this spiritual study.
Here are contact people should you need anything while Rev. Pam is replenishing her well:

Donate to Unity
It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude, joy and faith that I thank each and every one of you for your kind and generous donations in support of Unity. To realize the breadth of our connection and the depth of our dedication to one another brings tears to my eyes. The presence of Godde truly abides within each of us, dances in the spaces between us and holds us all lovingly. Please know that each gift will allow us to regather in great celebration once this passes and we once again can hug and dance and sing together in person. Until then, know your continued support blesses us as we bless the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
With big hugs from afar, Rev. Pam
